As a fisherman going to Belize, you should consider bringing your own equipment. The flats in Belize (and there are a few) are a great place to catch bonefish, barracuda and jack. Bring a lot of lures with you, as coral and big fish will surely claim a few from you.

Recommended equipment includes: 8-weight rod best, 9-ft. length. Bringing an extra one is a good idea. Use a marine floating line with 10-15 pound leaders. Make sure you have a saltwater compatible reel and over 200 feet of backing.
