PERMIT - Belize is reknown for its Permit fishing. Permit range from 5 to over 30 pounds. Prime time for Permit fishing is October to July. This ultimate fish makes for the ultimate fisherman's trophy.
BONEFISH - Bonefish varies in the 2 to 8 pound range, with most of them ranging from 4 to 6 pounds. Fishing for the Bone is available is year round. Considered one of the most powerful fish, Bonefish can put up a good fight for its size.
TARPON - The silver king, one of the most acrobatic fish is a real prize for adventure seeking anglers. Ranging from 5 to a whopping 200 pounds, they'll give even the best angler a run for his money. The bigger Tarpon are primarily found in March to July and again in September through to November. You can always find the smaller Tarpon (5 to 60 lbs) year round.
SNOOK - Which is kind of like a saltwater bass will range in the area of 5 to 25 pounds. February to November is the best time to catch a good snook.

If you're not an experienced fly fisherman, Permit may be a hard catch. Only experienced anglers have the skill to land this baby. One skill you'll definitely need is a reasonably accurate 40-foot cast. Saltwater fishing is a little tricky if you're new to it. It's even challenging if you're a seasoned angler.
